45 Park Lane’s connection to the original London Monopoly board became the starting point for this body of work, made for Ephemera, an exhibition curated by Lily Ackerman. Value, ownership, and aspiration are its subject.

Park Lane has long stood for wealth and exclusivity, the most expensive square on the board. Set against London’s housing crisis, that symbolism shifts, marking the distance between property as investment and housing as need.

Vintage Monopoly sets were collected and taken apart: boards, cards, and pieces read as an archive of changing attitudes to land and exchange. Recast and reassembled against paint charts, they ask who the city is for, and how value is assigned to place.
